HCDS offers a range of services for behavior reduction programs with children and adolescents with or without a formal diagnosis, but who engage in problematic behaviors which are interferring with their day to day activities and social development.
We begin by conducting a functional assessment interview with the parents and a behavior observation in the home, school, or community setting based on the individual need. The goal of this assessment will be to evaluate the problem behavior and develop strategies to reduce the problem behavior and teach appropriate replacement behaviors. - tantrums
- refusals
- aggression to others (hitting, kicking, biting, etc.)
- property destruction
- difficulty with transitions
- food refusal
- repetitive behaviors
