Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is the most common neurobehavioral disorder diagnosed in children. The common signs of ADHD include: 
  • trouble paying attention
  • difficulty controlling impulsive behavior
  • squirm or fidget
  • talks too much
  • trouble making and keeping friends
  • academic problems


Services for children with ADHD or Learning Disabilities include one-on-one sessions to address language deficits, transitional problems, and academic acquisition. Strategies implemented with these children include visual schedules, self-management training, independent skills. HCDS also offers several play and social groups to address a variety of skills such as taking turns, social initiations, and play skills. 

Parent training, both in-center and in-home, and school consultations are also available.
