Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Rates: $20-27 an hour based on experience, education, time with company, and quality of work.

Job Description:

Provides one-on-one behavioral interventions running clinic-based therapy sessions using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to improve children's communication, social, and life skills. Implement plans created by BCBAs to teach new skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and improve daily living skills. Collect and analyze data, collaborate with supervisors and other professionals, and train family members on implementing behavior strategies. â€‹

Job Requirements:
  • Current RBT Certification

  • Implement a skill acquisition program including basic understanding of verbal operants and targeted skills. 

  • Implement proactive and reactive behavior strategies with basic understanding of functions of behavior.

  • Basic understanding of data collection process and ability to accurately collect skill acquisition and behavior reduction data throughout therapy session.

  • Use both discrete trial teaching as well as natural environment teaching while keeping client interest and motivation throughout therapy sessions.

  • Ability to collaborate with other staff, RBTs and supervising BCBAs as well as maintain a "team player" attitude regarding the client's program and growth. 

  • Set up/Cleanup before & after sessions (all materials provided in clinic), manage pace and flow of therapy session while implementing skill program.

  • Complete session notes with narrative summary of each session. 

  • Positively interact with parents and family members regarding their child's session.

  • Emotional maturity and self-regulation skills to be able to maintain neutral and calm composure in potentially heightened situations/ ability to calmly and neutrally respond to client's problem behavior while remaining self-regulated.

  • Willingness to learn and be open to feedback and opportunities for growth.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Excel in order to create graphs of behavior data as well as calculate monthly client percentages for skill accuracy of program skills.

Behavior Tech

Rates: $15-18 an hour, designed for behavior therapist working on certification.

Job Description:

Providing one-on-one behavioral interventions running clinic-based therapy sessions, using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to improve children's communication, social, and life skills. Work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans, collect data, and communicate progress.

Job Requirements:

Same as RBT with exception of certification PLUS progress on completion of a 40-hour training course & taking the initiative to schedule competency requirement meetings with supervising BCBA.

Note: BT is solely responsible for finding and paying for their 40 hour course, as well as any BACB and exam fees during the process of becoming certified. 

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)

Rates: $30-45 per hour based on level of independence possible due to prior experience and education.

Job Description:

HCDS utilizes BCBAs to provide direct hours on their client cases. Schedules are a mix of 1:1 direct therapy, parent training, and RBT supervision. In this position you would supervise and collaborate with RBTs, to create plans to teach new skills, reduce challenging behaviors and improve daily living skills. As well as collect and analyze data, and train family members on implementing behavior strategies. â€‹

Job Requirements:
  • Same as RBT requirements listed above PLUS the following

  • Currently Active certification with BACB

  • Must have (or be willing to obtain) the 8-hour BACB supervision course

  • Polk County Schools contract/vendor badge

  • Credentialing with major commercial insurance companies

  • Medicaid Provider ID

  • Collaborative minded to work as a team with RBTs, as well as must be aligned with "client success" as the goal.

  • Kind and collaborative approach to services and to offer a true partnership with families in a way that is meaningful and promotes whole family health and growth.

  • Competent in administering initial and ongoing assessments including VBMAPP, ABLLS, and AFLS.

  • Proficient in writing and updating client programs including verbal behavior programs, behavior plans, social skills programs, language programs, and functional/adaptive programs. 

  • Effectively supervise and train RBTs on program implementation and behavior plan strategies. 

  • Manage client caseload (Willing to train if necessary, see description under "preferred qualifications" below)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experienced in conducting assessments, writing and  submitting insurance treatment plans, maintaining due dates for insurance requests.
