About Us

Welcome to Holladay Child Development Services, an Applied Behavior Analysis therapy clinic dedicated to serving children with special needs including autism, ODD, developmental delay, and down syndrome. We believe that thoughtful, family centered services can have a life-changing impact on the children and families we serve. Our mission is to provide individualized, evidence-based therapy to support each child's unique developmental journey while focusing on the families strengths in order to create a program that is truly effective and manageable. We aim to provide a meaningful service that is humanizing, compassionate, and meets families and children where they are.
Early Intervention Program

Our Early Intervention program is designed to provide comprehensive support for children ages 1-4 who are at risk for or have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, ODD, or any other developmental delay.  Our goal in this program is to provide family centered support while you are navigating a new diagnosis. We focus on what we call "intensive intervention". This means we are going to maximize your child's therapy hours to teach foundational skills and address behaviors early.  We create personalized treatment plans with goals for learning new skills as well as proactive and reactive strategies for reducing problematic behaviors. Parent training and involvement is a huge component of this program. We want to equip the family with the needed supports and tools to build and maintain a positive relationship with their child.
School/ Social Programs

These programs are for children ages 5-8 who are beginning to transition into a school or academic settings. At this stage, our services focus on assisting the family with the school transition and the child's new needs during this change. This is a tough transition for a lot of families, but thankfully there are many options available. We create a schedule to provide therapy hours that work around the child's school program and focus on needed skills to be successful in a group setting. Some children benefit from our social skills groups during this season. These are after school groups that target social and group skills in a small, controlled setting. Some children benefit from a non-traditional school approach and we can use therapy during this season to support a child who is home schooled or enrolled in a private or micro school program. The transitional school system can be very difficult for children with special needs and we work with the family during this season to find a balance so the child can be successful in whatever school looks like for them.
Transition/ Independence

Through ages 8-10, our services focus on a transition to more natural or independent settings when possible. We focus on planning for long term success and increasing independence. We might work towards discharge or "graduation" from ABA during this season. If your child continues to need support during this season, we will work with you to create a plan that will help your child move forward. Sometimes services become more consultative, with less direct therapy. Your child might also be ready to take their learned skills and move to a less supported and more natural setting like local clubs or sports teams. We will work with you during this season to determine what your child needs and how ABA can help them meet their goals.
Teens and Young Adult Programs

We offer social skill groups and supported outing for teens with special needs. These programs are not always available and are based on the current interest of families as well as personality matches across the teens.

We offer direct therapy options for teens or young adults who continue to need more extensive support into their adult life. These programs are limited and we are not often able to take new teen or adult clients. These programs focus on life skills, self-care skills, leisure skills, accessing the community, and building independence.
Consultative/ Targeted Services

We offer consultative and targeted services for families who are not looking for ongoing therapy, but would like support with a specific challenge. This support can also be helpful for families who would prefer to implement strategies themselves, but need a place to start or someone to design a program for them to use at home. Assessment sessions can be set up where a BCBA will evaluate and work with your child across 3-4 sixty minute sessions. The BCBA will write a behavior plan and skill program as well as provide take home visual supports and brief training for the family to be able to begin implementing strategies at home.

We also offer targeted services such as toilet training or food exposure programs where our focus is on mastery of one skill. An assessment is necessary to determine if your child is ready for this type of service and these services are typically short term while we target mastery of a specific skill.
